TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Scope

The terms and conditions shall apply to the relationship between the guest/customer of the Hotel in relation to the services of pre-booking, booking, stay and end of stay.
With regard to the terms and conditions not referred to herein, the Portuguese legislation in force shall apply.

The use of the services presupposes that the client accepts and validates the conditions and terms imposed by Hotel Porta do Sol (which are considered automatically and incorporated into the contract between the client and the Hotel, without any written transition being mandatory).

1. Pre-booking and Booking

After requesting a pre-booking, Hotel Porta do Sol will provide the potential client with a proposal for a stay and a booking code, in accordance with the requirements dictated by the client.
If the client uses tour operators or room booking portals on the internet, the booking code will be different from the one provided directly by the Hotel, and will be equally valid, but the terms and conditions will be those agreed with the tour operators.

The Hotel also informs you that booking requests made directly to it or through tour operators are not binding and do not oblige it to conclude the contract with the client. The Hotel reserves the right to refuse to conclude the contract and to make a room available at its sole discretion.

Hotel Porta do Sol only guarantees the availability of a room in the category booked and not a specific hotel room.

2. Booking and Cancellation Types

At Hotel Porta do Sol you can make two types of reservation: the guaranteed reservation and the pre-paid, non-refundable reservation.
The guaranteed reservation consists of the reservation of a room (by the client) accompanied by the provision of valid and complete details of a credit card for guarantee. The guaranteed reservation can be freely canceled by the client, free of charge, up to 7 days before arrival. After this period, the hotel reserves the right to pre-authorize the amount. In the event of cancellation outside the period mentioned or in the event of a no-show, the hotel will charge the full amount of the reservation. In the event of a change of room type or booking date, the rate may change.

A pre-paid, non-refundable reservation consists of the booking of a hotel room, accompanied by the provision by the customer of valid and complete credit card details, or the booking accompanied by the sending of proof of bank transfer of the full price of the accommodation booked. The total amount of the reservation will be charged immediately when the client makes the reservation. In the event of cancellation or no-show, the hotel will charge 100% of the stay. Pre-paid and non-refundable reservations cannot be canceled or changed.

3. Arrivals and departures

Hotel Porta do Sol will provide a room of the selected category on the client’s arrival from the date of arrival or, if the client makes the reservation at the hotel reception, Hotel Porta do Sol will grant a room according to the desired category and according to availability at the time, with check-in taking place from 3pm.

On arrival at the hotel, you must immediately pay the full amount of your stay.

On the date of departure, the client must leave the room, leaving it free of people and property and without any damage by 12 noon.

In the event that the client does not leave the room by 12 noon, they will automatically be charged a fee corresponding to a one-night stay at the hotel, and will only have the right to use the room during this period if the hotel has rooms available, otherwise they will still have to pay the fee and leave the room as soon as possible.
